Configure EAS Session Timeout

Assumptions:

This is a weblogic deployment of EAS. You have version 11.1.2 or newer. You have 7zip installed on the server with EAS installed.

Steps:

1. Browse to the following path:
   • <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\eas\server\AppServer\InstallableApps\Common
2. Make a backup of eas.ear
3. Open the eas.ear file with 7zip
4. Open the eas.war file
5. Browse to the WEB-INF folder
6. Extract the web.xml file
7. Open the extracted file with Notepad++ or your favorite text editor
8. Edit the following line to the timeout you desire (in minutes)
   • <session-timeout>45</session-timeout>
9. Save the file and drag it back into the 7zip window
